The monthly PTA meeting is taking place this Tuesday, February 3rd at 8 a.m. in the auditorium. PTA members: please join us to elect our upcoming nominating committee as we prepare for next year’s board positions, hear an update on Jog-A-Thon, learn more about International Culture Club plans, and find out more about Book Fair and Astronomy Night! Hope to see many of you there on Tuesday at 8am!

Nominating Committee Volunteers Needed

We need 7 PTA members (a mix of seasoned and newer volunteers would be best) to serve on the Nomination Committee that will meet during February and March to review nominations for the PTA board positions for the 2026/2027 school year.

The nominating committee plays a central role in the life of a PTA because its decisions shape a unit’s future. Its main focus is to identify potential candidates for the elected positions on a PTA executive board for the upcoming term. The committee needs a balance of newer and more experienced PTA members. No person may serve on the committee for two consecutive years and the individual must have been a PTA member for more than 30 days.

Members who attend the February 3, 2026 PTA Meeting will elect 5 members to the Nominating Committee and 2 alternates.  You do not need to be present to be considered, but you must be available to attend the scheduled nominating committee meetings.  

WE DID IT! Thanks to all of your support, we exceeded our Jog-A-Thon fundraising goal of $75,000! We are so excited for such amazing results and 100% of our classes had participation! 

We will be sending out final prizes earned over the next week. We are in the process of finalizing dates for prize experiences and we will notify you by email for any events/activities your student earned as the dates are scheduled.  

THANK YOU to everyone who participated and helped raise money for our school. Stay tuned for an awesome SKATEBOARD SHOW and HUMAN CAR WASH ASSEMBLY that our Sea Lions earned by hitting our goal!  

Class/Teacher winners are here! Congrats to all the winning classes who earned a pizza party and a prize basket for their teacher. Some of the class races were so tight, it was a difference of one sea lion signing up to participate! Thank you to all the room parents who encouraged participation from the class and helped to earn a fun day and well-deserved special reward for their teacher. Stay tuned for the scheduled date. 

Anchored4Life Activity THIS Monday & Wednesday!

Join our Anchored4Life Team Leads in a service project benefiting the Seal Beach Senior Center. Students can visit Room 44 during their lunch period on Monday, February 2nd and Wednesday, February 4th to create a reusable placemat that will be used at the Senior Lunch Cafe during the month of February. 

Don't miss this year's Astronomy/STEM night at McGaugh happening Thursday, Feb. 12 from 5:30pm - 7:30p.m.! The Book Fair will also be open!
