Red Ribbon Week Theme 2026 (300 dpi)

2026 Red Ribbon Week has been announced!

We’re thrilled to reveal the 2026 Red Ribbon Week theme, “Make a Difference. Be a Hero. Stay Drug Free.™”, created by Ava Tackett, a student at Griswold Middle School in Griswold, Connecticut, with guidance from Health Teacher Kristen Butremavic. The theme highlights that choosing to live drug-free is an act of leadership and courage—and that everyday decisions can positively influence peers, families, and communities.

Red Ribbon Is the Oldest & Largest Drug Prevention Program In The United States

During the last week of October every year, Red Ribbon Week promotes to students the importance of living a drug-free lifestyle. The week serves as a powerful reminder that ordinary Americans nationwide contribute significantly to their communities every day by embracing a drug-free lifestyle. It is also an opportunity to show your support for a drug free America and to talk to your children about making healthy choices. This October, proudly wear your red ribbon, take the pledge and share the Red Ribbon message with others.
